You’ve probably noticed this one if you’ve updated already – Touch Calendar now has a brand new look, based on Google’s Material Design. It’s a top-to-bottom refresh of the app, with new animations and colours and a pull-out drawer allowing you to choose which calendars are shown.
There are also a whole load of bug fixes in this version. Try it out, and let me know if you have any feedback.
This update brings a new interface for viewing and editing events on tablets. Try it in landscape and in portrait!
Also, search will now work on phones in landscape as well as in portrait.
A few changes in this version:
- a new pop-up calendar picker, available from the action bar (or the menu on pre-Android 4.0 devices) – this replaces the old ‘select calendars’ settings page
- landscape cells are squarer so you can see more weeks on the screen
- week numbers changed to meet ISO-8601:1988 standard
- the help screen’s now nicer looking
