FAQ: How do I add the Touch Calendar widget to my home screen?

How you add the widget to your homescreen depends on what phone you have. On Android phones running Gingerbread (Android 2.3) or earlier, find an empty space on your home screen and tap-and-hold on it. A menu should pop up with a “Widget” option. Tapping that will bring up a list on which you should find Touch Calendar widget of various sizes. On tablets running Honeycomb or devices running Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) such as the Galaxy Nexus, bring up the app launcher then tap where it says Widgets. FAQ: How do you change the event text colour in Touch Calendar?

Event colours come from the calendar. The usual way to get events in different colours is to use calendars from your Google account. You can go to http://google.com/calendar on the web to change calendar colours and add new colours. To add a new calendar: click the little triangle / down arrow to the right of “My calendars”. Click ‘Create new calendar’. Touch Calendar comes out of beta!

Touch Calendar has finished its beta and the official version is now available on the Android Market! There are now two versions of Touch Calendar on the Market.  The full version is just called “Touch Calendar” and has an introductory price of £1.  It has all the features from the beta and adds home-screen widgets for the first time.  New features will also be added to the full version on a regular basis. Touch Calendar 0.9.12

A fairly big update this time, with a new default colour scheme for the app.  Don’t worry if you preferred the old colours though – you can set the colour scheme in the settings.  There’s also a third ‘Monochrome’ scheme as well. Touch Calendar 0.9.9

Search settings have been added.  You can now configure how far in the past the search looks, how far in the future, how many results are returned, and whether or not the location field is searched A ‘show week numbers’ option has been added KNOWN ISSUE: When tapping events in the app, a menu will now appear with an option to open the event in Touch Calendar but this will not work.
